Even if it isn't stinging nettle, BOY I CAN TELL YOU, when I even read the work "burning nettle" I cringed... I was running through the woods with my husband some 30 years ago and ran through a patch of that stuff with shorts on. I was so so sick. I would not mess with that stuff at all....You never forget that pain...

I posted this on the Name that Plant forum on GW, maybe someone there will know. The seed heads almost look like Phlomis but the leaf shape is wrong for the Phlomis I'm familiar with.

Taken from another site "Skin contact with the plant may cause a rash or the skin may become sensitive to sunlight and burn easy" Once you know what it is you can find all kinds of info on it.
