When i retired from the Oil Industry 2 years ago i brought some “souvenirs” home with me for this project.

It’s made from a 6 3/4 cone bit, 2 connecting rods, 2 horseshoes, 4 Ruston Gas Turbine blades and a fiberglass neck & head.

never done any Steam Punk before and am looking for a special place in the yard for her to nest! The golden egg is 300 bronze!😳

If the rain continues i get it done next week!

I need to do the “body work“ on her head and the whole thing will be ready for paint. Then I’ll bolt on her Copper wings and exhaust (drag) pipes and give her some eyes👀

Make them wonder. A fellow nearby worked on the space shuttle. Built himself a 4 story A frame home from local (right there) logs and built a laboratory/orchid propagation nursery next to it. Brilliant guy. I never understood the schrimshaw carvings on the shuttle windows he has displayed in the house. But- they were cooler than cool.

We got a little farther on our goose project the other day. Went paint shopping, and got the main body primered. Colors will approximate a Canada.
Once i get the copper wings beat into shape i can finish the paint and be one step closer.
went online and found an interesting use of heat to give some definition to the copper; not sure if i’ll use the thought or not.

If I did something half as cool as that I would gloat and annoy my wife with it!
