I had a MGB that had 3 windshield wipers.

Having to wait till 8PM to make long distance calls.
AND, having to go into the room where the phone is to make that call.

party lines and telling people to get off the line...

p.s. we still don't have one of them there cellularized telerphones...

when my telephone number to call home from a pay phone was OL8-xxxx.

Walking to school in the mornings...and then getting to walk home for lunch.
Party lines.
Old rotary phones.
"WE1-9013".....Dad still has the number AND the original equipment.

SP(ring)3-xxxx. Kinda fun that it was "SP(77)ring !!!! At some point, they stopped giving names to the prefixes. I remember KEystone and MOrris ...

We saved enough green stamps to get a trolling motor for the boat!

What made me think of the stamps was I had to reset my kitchen clock after it became disconnected and remembering how it matched my parent's clock, both from the 1960's green stamp store .
