To this leafless bush they come!

Every morning I soak the pan that the breakfast oat or wheat was cooked. When it softens I nudge it loose from the pan pour off the excess water and pour contents under this bush.
Sparrows and starlings waiting, hop down and feast, laughing and chirping. A good size hawk landed next to the bush the other morning, but they just made faces at it, and began eating again when it left~couldn't get to them in all that mesh of branches.
They're nice little birds some of the sparrows have a splash of red on their chest, maybe they're not sparrows~not sure, but we're friends and they're happy to see me as I am to see them.

My work desk is next to a window. last year I hung a bird feeder in the window. Don't know why I never did it before, really enjoyed watching the birds.

They get very use to you. Sometimes there are 20 or more in that bush, all looking in the same direction.

I will still have 7 cats when the rest of the 4mo kittens are gone. Putting out a bird feeder at my house is just cruel.

There was a cat here yesterday, nice looking gray, shorter hair than a Persian. Must live around here, in too good of condition to be stray.

Next door neighbor had to take down their bird feeder because of a red tail hawk.
