Eek, 6" long. I'd say it's rare to find one that big and there be a plant it's sitting on instead of a stump at ground level.

I grow tomatoes here in Mass. My chickens are getting fat off these things! Slow newsday at the station I guess.

Just found my first one today and t was almost 2"....but because I'm turning a new leaf and not killing anything much 'cept gophers, I put it in the children's butterfly keeper with some extra leaves so it can transform.

It was on my green pepper, too...just inches from the toms.

Wow !!! No kidding ! I didnt know they are so "RARE" !!! I rather save my tomatoes, rather than saving those hornworm !! (Sorry Dude if you want them ,come and get them before I feed them to my chickens !! LOL !!!

I know one thing about them being rare, I rarely tolerate them. If I find them they don't even make it into the chickens. Bottom of my shoe... done!
