Transplant?

Oh! I didn't take out the entire plant... I just kind of took my spade shovel and "cut" it right on the other side of where I wanted the border and pulled the rest of the tubers out and transplanted them. :) I'll have to take a picture of the area where they were and post it. :)

Iris are amazingly tough. Last summer when we moved, I dug them along with other things from our old house. All the plants suffered horribly, I neglected them in pots for months and months and barely remembered to water them. Eventually, right before the ground froze we got a garden bed made and I threw them in the ground. Yesterday, I got around to mulching this bed...the only things to survive seem to be my IRIS (barely) and the un-killable yucca.

ETA: The first image is on where the rest of the bulb USED to be.... and the 2nd picture is of the entire bed. My pretty little daffodils mostly in bloom in front. :)
