Good morning everyone!
My situation is that I have to have a new well put in. I have some gorgeous hostas in the way of where they will be digging. Question is, can I safely dig them up and transplant them? Any pointers?
Thanks!
Dana

Sure, hostas transplant very well. Even though this is not the ideal time of year, they will do JUST FINE as long as you make sure to dig up a generous rootball and then keep them well watered for the rest of the year. You might also need to shade from sun and wind for a month or so if it's a somewhat exposed location you're moving them to. Baby them, though, and they will have no trouble with the move.

Good luck, have fun,

Pat

Thanks so much!! I will try and move them today as it is raining and they should settle in well. Darn well!
