Just helped Mom and Dad move....They have a cactus (sorry don't know the name) that is about 4-5 feet tall. It seems to have a very shallow root system. Any tips on how to move it without breaking the whole plant off?? Needless to say, it is very spiny. What if I wrap the whole stem with a thick moving blanket and lay it down? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Lesa that is just how I would do it!

Maybe water it just a little to help hold the potting mix together.
As you lay it down maybe put some soft support just up from the pot to help the stalk a bit.

It should be fine.

Luck to you.
