Sorry it wasn't parks seed it was Johnny's seed catalog. Not sure where you are but I live in zone 7b in OK. and my onion adaptation number is 35 degrees, southern onions are also called "short day" two varieties they suggest for south and are long keeping are desert sunrise, and pumba. Hope that helps.

I can grow well in San Diego, but they are too soft, too long a moderate cooking. Making great sandwiches or sliced onion rings though.
