veggies ready

I ignored my garden since Friday morning after the great onion, sweet pea, broccoli, cauliflower harvest.

Late yesterday evening I found a red slicing tomato that was ready and few red cherry tomoatoes that are almost ready.

This morning I discovered a whole bunch of pickling cucumbers that should be ready to use this weekend.

Why is it every year I spend all summer waiting to can and then as soon as I have to go back to school everything starts ripening?
