This has to be the most easy annual to start from seed.

I bought one of each color.

This pot was $0.95 in full bloom.

You take the fading flower.

Split it down the middle.

As you rip it apart you can see the tiny seeds!

Just stick that mess into a pot and just sprinkle sifted mix over the top. Not to much.

In a week or so you should have something that looks like this.

I take a stick and prick them out into these handy cups, with a hole in the bottom!

In no time you have a bunch of these ready to bloom!

After talking with Ron, thank you for pointing this out Ron.

But the picture of the seeds is not the seeds! Sorry my mistake!

There are two pods that form under the flower! That is were the seeds reside!

I will post a picture of them soon unless Ron would like to!

Oh sure sure, make me the bad guy.

I am having fun imagining everyone running outside splitting the flowers opened LOL

Here are some pictures! Basically each bloom will make a Hemi-seedpod. Two seedpods that are very similar to mustard seed pods.

Awe geez Ron, what the heck dude?

No just kidding!

I somehow must have been putting those pods in the pots.
I just take the flowers and rip them all up and cram in the pot.
To show how I do it I was a little more clean about it.

But my point being, even more so now, is that you can't go wrong giving it a try.

I am imagining as Joe walks by seeds are actually falling off of him...this way he is carpeting the world with flowers and he doesn't even know it!

Here is a picture of a barren road until Joe took a walk! LOL
