I have a vine growing that I did not plant. It does not seem to be a climber and there are no others like it around..
Any Ideas?

(excuse my dirty hands :P)

Looks like clematis to me too. My neighbor's sweet autumn clematis seeds itself all over my yard.

Interesting! I dont think Ive had clematis in my yard in about 2 years..
and it was on the other side of my house!
I never planted it in the ground and it ended up dying in the pot.

How fast does this grow?

Just watch out, it looks a little morning gloryish to me:

But there are a few plants that are vining with heart shaped leaves. I also grow black eyed susan vine (Thunbergia) with heart shaped leaves, but the edges are slightly jagged and yours is not it.

Have you thought about digging it up and potting it so you can watch and see and transplant it if you want to keep whatever it is?

I dont think its morning glory because it didnt look like a MG sproutling..

Potting it up, hmm, I dont have much luck with such things! Id probly kill it..

Based on leaf shape, vein pattern and that little notch in that one leaf in your photo, I think it is a clematis also. I would venture to say it could very well be Sweet Autumn. The seeds can travel a long way with a good wind. Maybe some of your neighbor's have some? It can easily grow 4 or 5 feet in a season. :)

Morning glory vines don't have the tender succulet growth tips the picture has.
