I really like the Prada military boots, but priced way out of my budget.

during the winter time fashion has no room for function. good waterproof insulated hi top boots that you can un lace at the door if you play in the mud that you do not care if they get destroyed.... as hard as i'm on boots brahma boots at wal mart work just fine 49.95

NY boy ... to buy the high boots that are very adapted to hard work as shown in Canes' post ... you can buy them at a Dairy Supply house. I use them year round,including in the dead of winter on my ranch for all types of work ... from mucking out stalls, to digging ditches, or working in the garden, etc. . The ones that are sold at feed stores are just too flimsy and don't last.

Those boots are all sold ..in Europe?? Euro pricing. European styling. City boots? I bet any sold on this side of the Atlantic would be to city slickers. Go from Apartment door, out to taxi, taxi at curb to work place...err.....Wall Street(?) Not a whole lotta across the board consumers would have a use for those styles and prices here in the US of A

pretty much sums it all up.

But to stay on topic, I browsed through the Farmer's Almanac a few days ago and they are very vague or non-committal about their snowfall predictions.

However...ya did get me to thinking nyboy. I have some nice ankle boots that needed shined up. I haven't been able to wear them for the past few years....due to gaining too much weight. But since i have recently lost almost 60#, I thought ...heck...Ima gonna go find them and shine them up fer winter!! Winter such as it can be in the South.

It's more of a "Token Winter" season here. Snow? What snow. That's one of the main reasons I left the Midwest. I grew up with that nasty white stuff. As far as I am concerned....the only "good" snow....is on the telly
"Oh lookie...snow!"...change the channel.

Now...back to the boot shining

@moxies_chickienuggets 60 # good for you !!! Last winter snow was knee high. @bobm thats a good tip about Dairy supply for boots, I bought Wellingtons at tractor supply cheap, but they walked off (nephew)
