Look at this lush watercress! I am curious what the flowers growing on the bank are? Any ideas?

if it is a wild area i would look up native riverside bulb spring flowering plants, if it isn't it could be anything that someone planted... can't really tell from the picture with my eyes, would need a closer up picture. :)

Snowdrops

Galanthus

I should take a walk where I know that they show up on creek-side here. Imagine that at 2,000 feet higher elevation than your Salish Sea and hundreds of miles through the mountains and Columbia Basin and more mountains, I am wondering about flowering snowdrops here!

I thought of you, Dahlia ;).

“Morel Compass!”

I miss my morel harvests. So easy, once I found the right locations. Stand off to one side, crouch to lower viewing angle, look for forest debris a little lifted, carefully search under that — bingo!

I've got a chanterelle compass but not a morel yet!

That watercress looks incredible. I've been trying to get some going in a shallow tray with running water but it's nowhere near as happy as the wild stuff. Streams just do it better apparently.
