Yep... walked out to find one of my broodies hatched out some kids early!!!

Don't know what they are yet. I have 2 mixed pens... one coop of silkies in Black & White, and one coop of Japanese bantams in BTW and grey.

Nothing cuter than day old chicks.
We don't get any this year, but next year we will have to replace half our flock.

Awwwww that's very cute vfem!! :)

Its so amazing when the hens are able to hatch the chicks out by themselves. I hope those chicks grow up well for you.
I wish my pheasants could hatch some eggs, their too skittish I think to have them hatch eggs.

We are building a coup after teh wedding in June to prepare for chicks next year. Right now just trying to sprout enough flowers for our wedding.

I love chickens. They make my day.
