Weather Where You Are

fog fog and more fog. But today its clearing and is 60 outside. Gonna be a storm coming in today, that will affect the rest of you over the next week or so.

looks like it is starting to show up. in the meanwhile the Pineapple Express is heading right for LA.

This week is supposed to be the first week of summer, but.... today, we had fog too that didnt lift til mid morning. i put it down to all the 'wildfires' going on all over the world For me, its the ones in Australia that are probably causing our odd weather, or those in Brazil, seeing as they are also int he Southern Hemisphere.

@Trish Stretton : the local news in Oregon commented that our state has sent over some wildland firefighters to AU to help support the rest of them there.

Thats really good to hear, they need all the help they can get. Hope they can get these under control.

This summer has seen so much more rain than usual and I think that my be a direct result of the fires over there....well that sounds lame, I'm complaining about rain while they are losing their homes and wildlife.

It has been pretty pleasant here...but the rain moves in tonight qnd tomorrow's low is 25 degrees colder than tonight's low. Looking at the extended forecast if the weather drops a few more degrees we could have a white christmas. We should be busy at work today with the weather change tomorrow. Really wish I could hibernate, but Christmas is a busy season in the grocery business!

ditto again ;)

San Francisco (click) and heading west.

This must be part of the storm system @flowerbug was commenting on in the words for onions thread. Wow! If you visit San Francisco, you discover that everywhere it's either up or down. Runoff from their typically rainy weather must be fairly dramatic, at times. Other than that, flooding is a surprise!

Downtown San Fran has had over 2" of rain this past week with nearly 1" falling on the 7th.

It makes me wonder about the Sacramento River dikes but the snow in the Sierras has to be an immediate concern. This storm produced over 5" of rain in some parts of northern California, the WS says. Some ski areas are reporting over 2' of snow in a recent 48 hours.

How are things with you, @ninnymary ???

Steve
