@Smart Red my husband is a cheese head! We have some family land and a cabin in central WI. Every few years we go up to play the Gays Mills Folk Festival.

@catjac1975 LOL--that photo was taken moments before a tornado struck our house, right outside that door! (It looks like night outside, but it was late afternoon on what had been a sunny day). We don't have a donkey barn built yet, and he was a very good boy.

@Chickie'sMomaInNH LOL--he was recuperating from a minor injury and became very attentive when I started scrolling through photos of hens! Do you also raise chickens?

@PhilaGardener good to see you here, too.

yep! i have chickens. there are quite a few of us here with chickens.

i have a mix of both LF and bantam faverolles, bantam cochins, a crazy Polish roo named Chickie (he is very spoiled  ), a pip squeek D'uccle roo who on occasion tries to challenge me, and a few mixes. i also have 2 peahens but no pretty boy to keep them company, 1 dwarf mix rabbit, a corgi and 2 cats. oh, and then there are my koi, catfish, guppies and betta fish. guess i should include my dh on that list! we're all snugly settled on 1 acre of land on the edge of the city but still not in the agriculture zone.

@Chickie'sMomaInNH I've got a bit of everything--Faverolles, Brabanters, Cuckoo Marans, Appenzeller Spitzhaubens, Sicilian Buttercups, Ameraucanas--but I'm sort of partial to Polands, too. I have four kinds of them--Buff, Gold, White, White Crested Black. What kind is Chickie?

Welcome @flowerweaver I checked out the photos. Oh My you have a FABULOUS place. A bit of heaven on earth! You are so talented, too. Are the jewelry creations your designs? I chuckled at the photo of someone tilling in a bee suit! DH and I started keeping bees 2 summer ago. Our 1st winter was rough (very cold and long and we lost all bees.) Today DH moved the hives in preparation for winter. Many years ago we had angora rabbits and I tried to drop spindle some yarn. (Dismal failure on my part!) Is the sweet baby your Grandchild? She is beautiful. So looking forward to seeing you around TEG. Welcome.

Lovely photos, Flowerweaver! I could scroll all day. :)

Are you a wildlife rehabber? I hand raised a baby squirrel once back in 2005. What a hoot they are.
