:frow I'm home! :weee

Gave my husband the biggest hug ever until his eyes popped out! I'm so happy to finally be back, and now I can hang out with you guys again! :)
It's a winter wonderland here now and looks beautiful.

We experienced early spring on the drive down, passing by green pastures with new lambs frolicking under a sunny blue sky. So now I'm seasonally confused!

Glad to have you glad to be back.

I remember my seasonal confusion when I left the snow and cold of Wisconsin and arrived in Portland, OR. two days later. OMG! There was green everywhere and flowers in bloom. Such a shock to my system! A lovely, fragrant, peaceful, pleasant shock -- and that was years before my blood turned to chlorophyll.

Those green pastures with frolicking lams and blue skies sounds heavenly. The best I can do is spending half a day in the local garden shop's greenhouses. A brief respite from winter and a promise of what's to come. I'd rather have been with you seeing the real thing than sitting in a greenhouse.

Yes, we certainly missed you! :hugs Hope it all went well. I'm glad your sis was there to help.

Now that I know there is spring out there...somewhere...maybe a days drive...I may be tempted to hop in the car and run away!! We just got over all 4 of us being sick, so I've really been longing for warm sand and flip-flops the past couple of days. That would be hard to go back!

:frow Since we are all in this together, you can go right ahead and start talking about daffodils and dandelions, Thistle'!

Around here, we got back to something resembling winter and out of that state of suspended animation . . . Oh no! You are back just in time for Ground Hog's Day!!

Even if the ole groundhog sees his shadow, we usually get a couple days of balmy weather in February around here. That's usually, for what good that is worth. Seems there is not much usual any more.
In a day's driving, I could be at the gulf, but it doesn't sound like it would be very warm there, either. :(

My son teaches as far south in Louisiana as you can go. They just had a snow day. Luckily they didn't have any hurricane days this past fall so they are still in good shape as to when school gets out.

Thistle, I really didn't miss you that much, just a little. Most of that time I was visiting family so I wasn't on here myself. :hide

It is good to have you back. Hopefully you got some closure from that, hard as it is.

Welcome back!

I've mostly been reassuring my seeds that they'll be able to get out and germinate soon, but as more snow piles on the ground I'm not so sure about that. Shoveling out the poultry pasture is starting to turn into a real chore. :hide
