I like those portable panels. You'll be able to move them around whenever you need some help in part of your garden. Sort of like a supersize chicken tractor.

Thanks guys! My husband made the panels. They have eye hooks down both sides to run rods through and keep them together. They are working out very nicely.

The only issue we have had is with our naughtiest chicken. Her name is Girlfriend (she's got attitude ). She likes to jump out of the pen to check out the rest of the yard. We live in the city, so we can't let them roam free. Therefore, we can only let them out in the pen when we're there to supervise.

A cover of deer netting will keep the girls in.
It's not enough to keep larger creatures OUT that want in (so supervision would still be a good idea), but it will discourage the girls from jumping out of their area.

I use deer netting around my garden beds to keep the free-range roosters and cats out of my beds.

Another vote for deer netting. It keeps the ducks out of the cabbage patch

They do a great job- and they so thoughtfully deposit fertilizer, every so often!! I let mine in the garden in the fall, for cleanup... last year I planted walking onions late in the fall. It was the only thing I didn't want them to dig up.... I am sure you know the rest of the story!! Actually, they didn't destroy them, just moved them around a bit!

Yes, I know what you mean. We make sure to keep our perennial herbs out of their fenced in area.

The netting is a good idea, and I remember seeing it at the hardware store the other day.

The eyehooks are working out very well Steve. You can configure the panels into any shape and they are easy to move.
