I'd steer away from the bottom one. It looks like it might be false chantrelle, Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca. They're not REALLY poisonus, but some people have reported hallucinating after consuming them so they are best considered non edible.

I is generally not a good idea to eat ANY mushroom you haven't had expertized. We tend to avoid the orange mushrooms we get in our back, even though were are 99.9% sure those are true chanterelles (and out neighbors reported getting real morels on their property).

How to gain experience? Also I am fascinated that a UK site told me the same name for the bottom ones except they did not use the "false" name just "chanterelles". Also, see how smooth the false chanterelle cap is relevant to the picture? Is that a key difference?

Agree with @flowerbug, perhaps, this one:

Also, agree with @Pulsegleaner . Once asked some local biology professors about wild plants/mushrooms some acquaintances were eating. There was no response, they just looked at me. I think checking with your local Cooperative Extension Service for the possibility of a class with field trips. Short of that, take several years and a half dozen professional sources of printed information ...

Some acquaintances of friends ... went on a mushroom gathering trip in Oregon. One ended up with kidney failure and dialysis that continued as long as I kept up with the story, maybe permanently.
