LOL I thought the same . I asked seller he said did not think so base is solid, wire would have to run up outside.

Could you ask Martha? Rumor has it she's into decorating. 
That top, looks like brass, really has me confused. Shaped like that it is not a planter. At three feet it may be a little tall, but was it possible a base for a table?

i suppose you could add a small table top to that & use it as a plant stand. i'm wondering if it could have been something from a funeral home or a church. maybe a candle stand?
