This is my first year growing them, and honestly I only grew them because I got the seeds in a gift pack. So the question is, how do I cook them? Anyone have any good recipes?

You can treat them as straight neck or zukes. Also if you keep up on picking you can encourage more setting and then pick them as babies and cook them whole. Bon Apetite :)

Yum! Pattypan squash are soooo good! I like to split them in half (so you have 2 flat rounds), brush them with a tiny bit of olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and grill (a little soy sauce brushed on is really good, too). Or, cut into bite-sized pieces and saute in butter with chopped fresh garlic, salt, and pepper.

I think I let mine get a little too big this time - they are about 5" across. I'll pick them smaller next time. But keep the recipes coming! I'm sure I'll have bunches of them; they are squash after all. :)

If you let them get about 3" across, you can stuff 'em like peppers. Nice change from 'plain' squash.
