What's cooking and what recipe do you have to share today

I really wish they wouldn't put frosting in cinnamon rolls. I detest it on any cake. So don't buy cinnamon rolls anymore because of it.

At our local supermarket, they used to sell frozen unbaked rolls, they were delicious. Yes they added the frosting that you could add yourself but I always threw that in the bin. The lack choices really bug's me.

oh, this grocery store bakery does put out plain ones too, but Mom never buys them even if she scrapes some of it off because they put on too much.

Rhubarb Pie / Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

4 cups rhubarb, cut to 1/2" or 2 cups rhubarb and 2 cups strawberries, chopped
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons flour or 2 1/2 to 3 Tablespoons of instant tapioca
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

1 Tablespoon margarine to top filling, under top crust

Mix sugar, salt and flour. In a separate bowl add beaten egg to rhubarb and then, mix in dry ingredients.
Heat oven to 425°f and bake pie for 10 minutes. Turn down oven temperature to 350°f and bake for 40 minutes or until bubbles appear from slits cut in the top pie crust. Cool and refrigerate before serving.

We made 3 last week with DW in charge of the crusts :).
