When to harvest lemon cucumbers?

We just started with lemon cucumbers this year. We have one lemon cucumber that is about 2 inches. It is just starting to get yellow stripes. Is it okay to pick it now?

I never grew them before. If someone does not answer your question, then you could try picking at various stages of coloring.

I've grown them twice and I pick them before they get their stripes. If they get too big, all you get is seeds.

Ditto southerngardener. Pick them when they are yellow and a bit bigger than a golf ball.

I will probably pick it today then. It has yellow strips and is bigger than a golf ball.

Coming into this late . . .

I grow lemon cucumbers and pick them before they turn yellow.

My cue is shape - when they fill out to round.
