hello! new to greenhouses and i dont know when to start plants in the greenhouse... i'm in ohio, zone 6? it's been warm the last few days and the weather is totally whack! the past few days here have been like april!!! its 9 at night in february with an outside temp of about 42* F!!!!
absolutely crazy!!!
so when do i put it up and start plants?

This online tool at Johnny's Seed seems just a little optimistic when I plug in my last frost date. Setting frost-tender plants out only a week from the last frost date is a little risky. Still, it may be useful to you and especially if you will have an early spring:

Find your seed-starting date

Start off by finding your last frost date (50% chance of 32F). You might find your city here:

freeze/frost probability tables for each state

It is a little curious and funny that they require that you plug in the year also  . But, that's okay. Johnny's can always say that if your plants are killed by an unexpected late frost that - you did it "wrong."

Are you intending to heat it at all? If not, I would say you would have to wait until you are consistently getting no below freezing nights. Unless, you are motivated to bring things in and out...

What type of green house are you going to use? I think that if it was my greenhouse I would check to temp for a couple of days. You can get a digital themometer from walmart the records the high and low temps. I am in Perry County and I know that temps will be totally whack until mid May.
