Plenty of them around here. DH grubbed hundreds out when he cleaned out our rear woods. 'Sides that, we purchased 25 wild plum trees from our extension office.
It is nearly 500 miles too far north for a Klamath Plum. The tree blooms in outrageous profusion, well before final frosts. Apparently, the daylight hours are long enuf to prompt the flowering. Then, I have about 5 plums off what must be a very olde tree.
Oh my goodness...I've four d one that was being choked out by honeysuckle & saw briars... KT fixed that. Does anyone have a surefire way of starting one from a cutting?
I found one a couple years back while out picking blackberries. Went back last summer with hopes of making jam only to find the property had been posted no trespassing. Bummer!
