Mary did you have snow in the mountains ?

No, it was so weird being up at our cabin end of December and no snow on the ground. The ski resort which is 25 minutes away had only 2 beginner slopes opened. We went for walks and still had a great time with friends and family. I love to cook and entertain but my husband prefers peace and relaxation, haha.

@flowerbug , nope, haven't made the jump to ducks...yet...although my Lab mix, short haired 10yo dog doesn't want to help much outside. I told her that her job is to keep the couch warm. I found the neated couch cover. It covers the back, the arms, and the front without any elastic and works really well for a couch like mine pushed up against the wall. This is a 40yo couch that was originally my MIL's, then to our old office. I pulled apart my sectional and moved all but one piece out of the living room to make room for the old couch. My MIL had recovered it and it's in great shape and I didn't want to have to keep cleaning it. Best of all, the cover was $7 on Black Friday.

40 year old couch will probably still outlast one built today. Was a time things lasted decades now only a few years.
