Your place looks great Journey! I want to plant blueberries someday. How in the world do you keep the deer out of your garden?? My fence has to be 8' high, or they would clean me out.
So far I've just been really lucky, I think. We are in the 'Y' of two main roads and I think that helps keep them at bay a little. They mostly just eat the tips off of my apple trees (and even the prunings!) in the winter/early spring. But I want to put up electric for some assurance.

My husband is the straight line fanatic. If you look closely at the small seedling row you will see the one I did {"By eye".

Kassaundra- You must know that we only take pictures after the weeding is done! I have been really keeping up with it. My husband is having his second knee replacement done in the beginning of July. He will be out of commission for a while and needing a lot of care for at least 2 weeks . So I have to try to keep things in order now. I an doing a lot of tilling and mulching. I also used organic preen, corn gluten, on some of the more difficult to weed plants. It is very expensive for the ground it covers. Once my plants are large they will be on their own with the weeds.

Raining now so no pics, but my garden isn't neat and tidy like some of you guys. (maybe that is why I take so many macro pics!!!! lol lol lol)
LOL, so that's the trick. Well it isn't just the state of weeds in my garden, but everyone's gardens are in nice neat well placed rows, and mine looks like the crazy cat lady aunt that took to many "pretty pills" before she planted her garden. But coloring inside the lines has never been my strong suit anyway.

My husband is not a gardener, he is my hired muscle, so what I say goes in the garden. lol I'm more inspired by guild gardening concepts, I don't need rows b/c I don't have a tractor and don't use the tiller during growing season in the garden, it is more a perimeter thing to help keep the runner grass out.

Journey, what a beautiful piece of property you have! Love the garden and the fact that you can actually plant in the ground. lol You have a lot of variety planted and everything looks so healthy!

Once I am allowed to post pictures I will post some of both my indoor and outdoor gardens. Happy Gardening everyone!!

Thanks, Skeeter...we have an awesome view up here of the sunrise over the hills out my front door and the sunset out my backdoor. I just wish there wasn't a huge powerline pole smack dab in my backyard. :P
