I love yellow split peas for many recipes and wondered if anyone has a source for seeds? Bright orange yellow like the commercial grocery split peas are what I am seeking.

I bought every yellow split pea offered in Seedsaver's membership catalog and none were yellow. I wasn't pleased about receiving beige, tan, off white, brown when they were described as yellow. Maybe there's more colorblindness out there than I realized, lol.

The supermarket bags of split peas won't germinate. ;)

Hmmm... such a common choice it seems from searches I've done... but I see no seed company out there offering this version of the pea! :/

Sylvie, how about if you go for yellow sprouting peas?

Pea Sprouts

I should know about these sorts of things -- I live 80 miles north  of the "Pea and Lentil Capital" . . . but I don't .

I think that snow peas, especially, would make very acceptable soup peas.
