Its been close to record high temps over the Christmas weekend - a blessing for all of those who were on the road. Was able to gather with all of my children, grands, and great-grands on Sunday. A really big rain event is just now moving in, but it looks like no winter weather - yet. This same storm is dumping over a foot of blowing snow in the Dakotas, and ice storms over a wide range further North. 
Not to sound like a broken record but we got another ft. Of snow last night and it’s still kinda snowing.
I know what i’ll be doing tomorrow! Even with the adversity more snow brings; it was a beautiful day here! Perfectly calm And wintery.
Providing something for the birds gives me great joy!

It's warm for this time of year.
Early this morning we had a little bit of blue sky but some dirty looking clouds were hoovering and they seemed too have spread all over l, turning our day into being overcast.
We were supposed to have a sunny day
At least the wind finally stopped

We still haven't put our snow tires on, and won't do so unless a fair amount of the white stuff is expected. It's a lot of work, and some years we hardly get any snow at all. The next two weeks still has our temperatures on the plus side, with rain off and on.

the moon was actually out last night for a few minutes i saw it before i fell asleep. 
it was foggy later on when i woke up and looked out. now it is frosted and the colder weather has finally returned. the lowest temperature in the forecast for the coming week is 27F and there is at least one chance of snow.
might see a bit of sunshine here or there too!
