Wednesday I got 3 1/4 inches of rain. The road in front of my house was slippery slush. It’s a little better now. Neighbor drives a logging truck, so it gets packed down. He went by at 4:18 this morning and comes in after dark at night. Supposed to rain tomorrow and Sunday. More mud!

You most be out of the normal lake effect snow paths. Every time I watch WeatherNation (better alternative to The Weather Channel) and I see Michigan in the thick of it, you report that you didn't get socked in.

yes, we're inland far enough that most lake effect snow doesn't get here. once in a while we'll get a stronger storm from the NE that comes down the Saginaw Bay which will dump a lot of snow on us, but that doesn't happen very often. last winter we hardly had much snow at all. i'm used to much more having lived up north, this is pretty much nothing in comparison.

We have the lovely Miss Taylor Swift headlining concerts in town for the next three days, so I would say that a cyclone of little girls and their parents are headed our way. I hope they all have a really fun time. ;)
