I know that there is a lot of heat elsewhere and we will get back to that.

However, yesterday started out at 42⁰f (6⁰C) and the afternoon high was 60⁰f (16⁰C). There was a "trace" of rain and lots of wind with a few gusts to 30mph. All official ... So we had a backyard barbecue ... ate inside :). Good thing we are all northwesterners 🥴 .

There may be more rain tonight but I think that we have failed on the rainfront.

Extreme heat advisory, started Saturday, runs through Thursday. Not too bad right Now, but this afternoon will be kinda brutal IF you want to stay outside to do jobs.
Saturday I took breaks in my red plastic Adirondack garden chair under my big peach tree that is a pretty good shade tree, if nothing Else, but it was pretty windy.
Today, not so windy.
They picked up my God Mower to fix the mowing drive train belt.
I had to buy yet ANOTHER push mower bc we never removed the broken fencing from the 2023 Derechio limb debacle, and I hit it mowing. I need to call the Tractor place to see who can fix it. You can try to start, and the blade is free, but the tension cord to the choke is loose. I see Where the end of it goes, but I have no idea how to fix it.
I would use a frustrated emoji, but, I need to get outside soon to start digging up a weedy garden bed so that I can bury Eva there next week.

My car thermostat read 34 C/ 93 F this afternoon. Smokin' hot. Absolutely no one is used to weather like this, and the beach was packed to insanity levels. Everything in the gardens, both flowers and veggies alike, (except maybe the peppers) were utterly miserable. The collards looked like they were melting. Thank goodness we had that major deluge a couple days ago which saturated the soil. Nights have been hot too. 🔥 Took refuge on a paddleboard on Lake Wanapitei, whose waters were so ice cold it nearly burned our toes.
