we're in a low spot, have you ever heard the expression "Foggy bottom"? yes, we've got one of those (Mom may say something about Me, butt we don't have to go there do we?)... it is very rare we don't have fog and heavy dews here.

It hit 104 here at our home at 400 ft elevation, and on a hill facing west. Today might be a degree or two hotter. We had to run the AC during the night, to try to cool down everything. Its only the 2nd time we've done that this year.

I don't turn on the AC until later afternoon, cus I'm good at sweeping in all the night cool air to make the house cooler, and then close everything up tight in mid morning.

@Rjodie Ranch same here… I turned on my AC about 10PM. For 25 minutes. The inside of my home temp never got above 77F degrees even though it was 99F outside. I rarely use my AC. I planted trees around the perimeter of the house and garden and it cools the house by 20 or more degrees. Scientists call this process transpiration. As a result of transpiration, the temperature under a tree can be up to 25 degrees cooler than in the surrounding area. This transpiration affect cools homes adjacent to the trees.

Airless. I keep waking up at night there seems to be no airflow.

Currently it is 21 but feels like 24c according to the weather forecast. 3km wind but I can't feel any real breeze.
It's just stiffling.

People feel really uncomfortable at night, having to close their windows.

I put on my dyson aircon but it makes very little difference.

Different trees in that zone 9 location. Maybe you have some familiarity with them.
