Warmest low on record was in 1928 when it was 40°. The Weather Service says that the low temperature tomorrow morning will be warmer than that... with all the wind that will show up tonight
The thermometer didn't fall below 43⁰f. We will see what it does tonight, before midnight. Did they call this a "Pineapple Express?" I didn't see that used but it was certainly an Express! The highest gusts were about 10pm with 55mph +.

It's been raining s lot here too and next week we are supposed to get dumped on at record amounts! Like a weeks worth of rain in one day! Luckily the temps are currently very mild
Omg. They said we'd have rain and the weren't kidding. They also said, we'd have intervals of dry patches during the days gone by, in that, they were definitely kidding.

Today it's been heavy rain and windy but a few occasions of no rain.
Nancy and I were caught in the rain this morning we dashed out this morning thinking there was going to have at least twenty more minutes of no rain. But again we were misled by the inaccurate weather forecast 😐 😳

Are we going to get 40 day of this rain. Just like in the bible

The temperature are mild but the winds and rain far from it.

The jokers, are telling us to expect sun and cloud tomorrow. That remains to be seen

Currently it's 9c not raining. But still windy

The UK/Scotland and the Pacific Northwest (PNW) share mild, oceanic climates but similar in rainfall patterns.
PNW has intensely wet winters and dry summers, while the UK and Scotland generally has milder year round rain. , Scotland is a bit wetter and windier. Both regions get ample winter precipitation, but PNW’s rainfall is more seasonal and heavy, (Pineapple Express) with drier sunnier summers. Unlike Britain’s more consistent drizzle and cloudiness much like the PNW’s marine layer, fog , grey skies and drizzle.

As I predicted, it raining this morning. And here's the sun, with a bit of cloud

This is a lot lighter grey than the sky was earlier.

According to this forecast right now.
It's 9c 0% perception of rain, with 87 percent humidity 27 km wind

Marie I see from the yard pic your up higher than the road. Rain won’t flood your home. A lot of flooding here in western Oregon. Has not effected where I am because I am up in the foothills 800’ higher than the normal sea level of Portland. It’s very windy 55 mph . 10” of rain in the last 3 days and rivers are over flowing causing flooding in many areas of the western PNW.

The roads to drive to town are flooded , more rain today. As a the strongest atmospheric river is making its way through the PNW. I had several power outages so far and running internet from my iPhone to post today.
The City of Portland has issued a combined overflow for the Willamette River, meaning human waste has spilled into the water way.

Pics showing water overflow in rivers.

we had forecast of snow and storm warning for today and it did snow last night enough to take the power out for a few hours from trees on the wires someplace. we were the only place that didn't have power my brother said (we call him to look and give us an idea of when they might have the power back on).

the power did come back on right when i had finished up breakfast (we use a can of chicken soup in the propane fireplace to warm up and then i can use the empty can to heat water for coffee and hot chocolate after we eat the soup).

as usual we had turned the heat down to 65F overnight and didn't even think about how cold it would be if the power went out but we got the propane fireplace going and that will keep us warm enough - it will run without any electricity at all.

as much as i don't like the propane fireplace at least it does keep us from being i danger of freezing and gives us a chance to get some hot food and drinks, but it is a pain to get going (we don't use it often enough that i remember how to get it lit :) but today i figured out the problem i'm having is that the knob has to be turned to a position that isn't marked or that lines up with the markers, so that's the problem i'm having, hopefully i'll remember this for next time (i should get some red nail polish on there and mark it).
