On tv, I see the Tennessee State police telling us that "central Tennessee" is having the worst problems with restoring electricity to residents. That's @pjn 's home country. I see that she has responded several times recently to posts. I hope that is a good sign of some normal conditions at home.
Here, it's snowing. The forecast is for it to be rained off the landscape by tomorrow at the latest. Then, rain/rain ... a little. Hopefully, there will be snow accumulation at higher elevations. Passes into Montana look to be somewhat messy for awhile. Cascade passes may have enough warmth soon to melt what they will receive.
Our overcast chilly weather has been predominant but the few sunny days has sent temperatures way up on some January days. Looking at daily averages — some of those days were as much as 15⁰f (6⁰C) above normal. Precipitation, which would normally be snow, isn't quite down at 1/2 but it seems like it. Maybe we will catch up a little during this final January week.
