Last night I went to bed with the forecast for snow mixed with ice. I opted to put ponies back in their stalls. No snow at 10PM, but I salted the steps and part of the house sidewalk Anyway. Good thing--when I took Tegan out at 2AM there was a sheet of ice on both, but some melting, enough so that neither of us slipped on the ice. By 8:30 this morning the ice had melted on the sidewalk but not on the grass. I did my typical and filled 2 buckets with water and staged them in the barn for this morning. Rain tonight, so I won't turn the ponies out again until tomorrow morning.
Even Though they trashed 1/2 of the base of their manger I will probably feed some in it for the next few days. We are expecting constant rain Tuesday-Saturday morning with t storms expected on Friday.
I guess I'll live it since we are still in a drought here.

Lunar eclipse ..

. neighbor's motion detection light on for some reason on the first venture outdoors. I had to go all the way down the back steps to find a useful shadow. Then, the light was off. Hazy with only a few stars. Difficult to see through the South Window glass with the added filtering. There it all was and now, the reflected sunlight from the moon resumes ...

And now, a nice bright crescent!
