Tegan woke me up at 3AM. I saw lightning and we had about 4 hours of steady rain, perfect for the outside plants.

I hope these fires just don't happen this year. Judging from previous years, that's a huge hopeThunderstorms are often small storms, in a geographic sense.
We may have those events on Thursday but the story is that they will be more likely in the mountains. Darn it. There are already concerns about wildfires. ... in May!
Electronic and gas is the fuel in my home. And it's just been announced that our energy bills will increase by 13% .Sunny day once the marine layer has burned off. A bit chilly at 48F over night warming up to 70F by late afternoon.
Had my furnace on early this am as I have flipped the heating system over from the oil furnace which uses diesel fuel over to the heat pump. I can’t imagine the cost of heating fuel to fill up my 550 gallon tank to heat my home for next winter.
Not happy at all about about the cost of furnace oil , not to mention filling up the gas tanks which are three 55 gallon drums set up for filling the garden tractor or the set up for the large diesel fuel tank of the large tractor. Imagine what the farmers pay who are struggling this season to maintain their crops .
