I used to live near them so could drive by and see all their iris in full bloom. It was something to see. Here are some of their iris. I have about 50 of their iris.

I posted two photos but only one shows. Click on the link at the end of the link that stats with http://www.the easy garden.com,etc. I got it to open with that. Hope it helps. If it doesn't I'll repost.

Very pretty, DessertWillow. I used to live in Porterville, too. Both my husband and I are from there and our families are there.

Rodriguez, any luck finding out if Iris do ok in your area?

I did find out they will do well! The place I've picked for them is well drained and gets 8+ hours per day of light! I found one that is a dark purple! Gorgeous!

Iris are one of my most favorite flowers. They really are not that difficult to grow. I grow mine in rock gardens, they seem to do best up against the side of a rock. I collect rocks, so it is also a way to display my collection.
