Skunks get killed and/or eaten by coyotes, fox, bobcat and domestic dogs, so they have more enemies than owls.

I'm among the minority in this world that love the smell of skunk and did nothing whatsoever when my dog was sprayed...except sniff deeply whenever giving him a hug for the next year.

Skunks are getting pretty scarce around these parts, which saddens me greatly...they are so useful for removing yellowjackets, grubs, etc. from the land.

Baby skunks are the sweetest and even they retain a little skunky odor in their fur, so I'm sure the older skunks do as well unless they've been descented for pet purposes.
