YEAH. I forgot to mention Fels Naptha. Always had it in the house growing up. I have a bar around here someplace. My MIL also used it for laundry stains!

Is it of value AFTER you get outbreak?
It is best to soap up good whenever you may have gotten into the PI. But the soap also has something of a drying effect, too. If your supermarket does not have it I have found it at Farm Supply stores and hardware stores!

Fels Naphtha is a skin and eye irritant, so don't use it for washing your hands regularly. It would be worth it for poison ivy though. I use it to make homemade laundry soap. One bar does 128 loads of laundry; it is that powerful!

It sounded like your family has used a bad Dr in the past .Like everthing you have some that are great and some that are fools with out a clue. Ask people you know if their Dr any good, keep asking till you find someone who raves about their Dr.

Domeboro is what worked best for me for instant relief, won't help it run it's course any faster, but it cuts that deep itch real quick.
Also VERY glad you went to the doc, @TheSeedObsesser .
