Live in Michigan? Beware!

Good grief! :epI wonder where it came from? Non-native species?

It does have a pretty bloom though.

Sorry to tell you, Collector, it's already in Washington. Hopefully, it's like most things internet, exaggerated way beyond reality. Wonder if it's related to pigweed--hasn't that become immune to round-up?

It's bloom is very similar to Queen Annes Lace, although the leaves aren't close at all.

I thought it was interesting while watching the video as the hazmat team were cutting the plant down and the narrator was warning of the extreme toxicity of the sap, that the cut stems were laid on the grass, no tarp underneath.
Maybe they hosed the area off afterwards, but it seems a little strange to gear up for a moonwalk and then treat the exposed ends of the branches so casually. Just my opinion.

I would have cut the branches directly into the trash can they had sitting there. :idunno

I thought the same thing!

I thought it was Hogworts that gave folks Hogwarts.

I think that how "dangerous" these new plants are is likely exaggerated, I still wouldn't grab a cut branch if I found one though - you never know.
