It's what you make of it. Like you I need to put in 40 hours of volunteering and at least 8 hours of advanced training every year. For me that means helping our location Natural Resources Dept and local national park (MNRRA) expand their capabilities by leading crews of volunteers and helping to teach them about our biome and everything in it.

I have looked at it but in Ohio our area didn't offer classes very often. I haven't checked here yet.
