Spring can't be that far away...

We've gained almost an hour and a half since the solstice!!!

Consistently, 3 minutes every day, at this time of year ... 20 days from now ... you know what that will mean?!

See what you miss by living south, you all!?

who got a frozen bag of soil into the greenhouse and some seed in containers after a sunny morning!

I know! Isn't it exhilarating! I especially appreciate the light coming earlier in the morning.

Please tell me you used the home depot gift card in your birthday card
Huh?
The only birthday card I received was one of the beautiful homemade ones from Carol Dee. Hopefully the mail has been misplaced and will arrive sooner rather than later. That was so nice of you, Nyboy. I certainly would have used it for my orchid. That was the only reason I had for going to Home Depot -- to check out the orchids you mentioned were there.

I would have given you a formal thank you for something like that.

Mom saw a bluebird gathering nesting material this morning. :th I knew our bluebirds get a much earlier start than most of our birds but I've never seen it happening this early! I :love my bluebirds!!! They raise 4-5 hatches each year here and they are so very lovely to watch.

Spring is definitely around the corner...my chickens are feelin' their oats too, lots of breeding going on and egg laying is starting to increase.

My garden outside is starting to come alive too, but yesterday I had a yard full of robins (I am the keeper of robins for all you in the north) and they do not seem to be interested in flying home yet.

I will have to post a photo of my new orchid since Nyboy purchased it for me. Will do so tomorrow when there is light in the Orchid Room.

Thank you, Nyboy, for the birthday and gift cards.
