How are YOU Celebrating St. Patrick's Day?

That's what I was always told...have the taties in the ground before St. Patty's Day. Mine are leafing out before SPD...first time ever for me. :weee

I always heard "Peas on St. Patrick's Day," "Potatoes on Good Friday," and cabbage on Election Day" (when all the big heads get together.)

These adages are seldom possible to follow in zone 5-ish.

Just another day here at work...

That one is definitely sounding more likely and doable. I'm most certainly planting peas today, so I'm right on schedule, though I'm way ahead on spuds this year.

I'm just rejoicing over not having to depend on tillage to get in early crops, as it's always been too wet to till here this early in the year. :weee
