I was sent this when I had to put Nadia a Russian Wolfhound I had to sleep. I got her when I was 22 years old my 1st dog as a adult. I know your pain

I am SO SORRY!!! Rose was in great pain and I knew this was for the best, but I petted her until she was gone. Now she has a special place next to Xena (1998-2008, RIP) by the cherry trees in the inner sanctum.

It's very hard to lose a good, good dog. My heart goes out to you, Journey. When a great story comes to an end, it's hard to close that book...you just want to keep reading and reading the story.

Don't be too sure, Journey .

Dogs have decisions to make, as well. When the last ball has been tossed, the last tidbit nibbled, and the family gathers to watch something silly on tv - a dog has to decide who provides the best personal space for a safe snooze ... before bedtime.

And, when those kids grow up and don't have time for a dog ... who then can share the experience and kind words? Who better understands and chooses not to be alone?
