Hello From Texas

Mimosas are BEAUTUFUL trees all right. My parents had one in the planter in the middle of their huge patio in N. Cal. But the rest of the story is the fun one has when brooming up the copeous amounts of tiny leaves in the fall, then the seed pods later on. Then pull up the uncountable seedlings in the Spring. Guess whose job it was to do those deeds as a teenage kid ?

I think the leaves are small enough for wind to just blow away. I hated having to pick up the apples and pears as a teenager. Yellow jacks loved the rotten fruit would get strung a few times.

Hi Granny!
