I woke up to a Tx from my sister ( I guess tx alert not set) Dad threw Sonny out last night. I got a short reply this morning. Dad said he saw him kick his dog, told him to pack his bags and leave now.Sonny is 93 and was living with his son and daughter inlaw till they threw him out. My dad felt sorry and let him move in. Sonny never gave my dad a penny since living there, his own son charged him $400. I don't think my dad is to wrong this time, if I caught a guest in my home mistreating my dog I might do same.

Anything you post with DAD in the title, I open up never knowing which direction it will go. I really think you could auction your Dad off to the highest bidder and make a fortune. Your Dad would liven up the most drab life, bring excitement to the boring mundane existence of those who know not the joys of having such a character in their family. LOL LOL LOL

Now to the reason for your post. Yeah, if someone kicked my dog, I'd kick back too. Your Dad's dog is a small dog, which makes kicking it even worse. Sonny could have done some damage, but maybe the kick of a 93 year old doesn't pack a lot of punch. Still, just the idea of kicking my dog would make me rise up with all the wrath of a Texas Crazy Woman.

Oh, Bay...there are 93 yr olds and then there are 93 yr olds. Having been kicked, pinched, bit and punched by nearly every age of elderly man and woman in my career, I can tell ya that they would surprise you in just how much power they can put into a kick! ;)

They are nothing but knobby, hard old bones that they can use like a weapon. Especially the menfolk. o_O

I talked to my dad kicking his dog was the straw that broke the camels back. Not only has he been living there rent free, but has never purchase any house hold supplies like soap, toilet paper, laundry soap, garbage bags. My dad is feeling used. Last night my dad asked roommate to sweep kitchen floor. Roommate did not think he should have to, because the floor had dog hair. He was mad and kicked dog, my dad said it took everything he had not to punch him. In stead of hitting dad said you have to leave.

Bay at this point I am happy as long as he doesnt get arrested. He from old school man settle things with their fists.
I can remember when my crazy Father-in-law was in the nursing home. He was about 83, ill heath, in a wheel chair, naturally crazy-just worse with age, never a nice man. He came close to being put in the crazy section of the nursing home. His roommate was 105 and had been there for at least 20 years. They gave them grabber stick to pick up things they dropped. The 2 old goats did not get along, nasty and nastier. They had a argument over the ownership of a grabber stick and he told my husband that he wanted to punch the guy out. My husband asked him, "So were you planning to roll over there to him in your wheelchair and punch him?" "Yea!" his Dad said rather incredulously. He failed to se how ludicrous it all seemed to the more sound of mind.

Don't blame your dad. Good for him.

When in laws brought fav g'son to visit (he was 2-3?) he kept walking over my dog-kids kicking him every time. I told him don't do that. He looked at me and did it again-he was wearing cowboy boots. Mid stride over dog, I picked him up and whooped him on seat of education. Made a lot of noise but with his padding, no pain. He went running to g'ma who was ready to fight. Told her story and IF she didn't like it, see door. They left next day.
