I couldn't help myself...I had to stop and take more pics of the one yard in that town that was worth changing one's route to pass by. I've never seen such a beautiful flower garden in my life..this thing is huge and wraps around three sides of this large home. The lilies look like they are on their way out for the season but they are still putting out color and so are the other perennials they have planted.

That's one way to get out of mowing a large yard! :D

If you have pretty blooms or have seen any and stopped to get a pic or two, please post them here!

Bee any chance of a close up of window boxes ? There are several gardens I have wanted to photograph but feel funny. Like I am invading owners privacy. One was a wheel barrel planter in front yard at time Mary was looking for wheel barrel

I wish! My old camera has lost the zoom function and I'd feel funny about knocking on the door to ask for pics of their window boxes but they sure are beautiful! I felt a little funny about getting out of the car for a closer look and pics of the yard but if I had a yard like that, I'd be expecting folks to photograph it all the time.

Those are beautiful, Thistle!!!! I love those shades of pink and purple...is that last one fuchsia? :D They all look very healthy and huge.

I'm amazed at the high number of bees on the flowers at Joel's garden...I think town must be pretty much a food desert for those pollinators, as not many people plant flowers in that town. Every time I try to tie up his flowers that are falling over I get a mass of angry bees trying to dart at me....I don't blame them, it's their only concentrated food source!
