@thistlebloom How is sweet summer doing for you ? I lost all of mine

What? Oh, bummer! The one by the front door looks good, I have spread nosema locustae around the property and in the beds for the grasshoppers and it seems to be helping. The hoppers have defoliated the Sweet summer Love by the door every year. It has buds now. I'm going to put some more EcoBran in the beds also to kill the remaining grasshoppers that I've seen.

Here's what it looked like earlier this week. And my little Meyer in the pot taking in the summer sun. :)

The bed by the front door.
The geranium (Bird Dancer) Kid#2 gave me for Mothers Day is going to town, and behind it, the beebalm is just starting. The sedums down front pick up the geraniums color nicely. Total accident!

Just one more...I love this veronica, it's called Sunny Border Blue and it blooms nearly all summer.
As you can see, I have a haphazard color scheme, which isn't really a scheme, my gardens just sort of happen and I'm happy to overlook some clashing because they are blooming! :p

Those are gorgeous!!!! Such neat, structured flower beds, planted with aforethought. I've never managed that, as I don't know much about flowers and could never plan how to arrange them in a bed to compliment one another.

Just beautiful! :woot

Thank you. But there was truly no master plan. I see something I like and I shoehorn it in. If it absolutely doesn't work, I take it out and put it somewhere else.
Until 3 or so years ago that bed was a cottage garden type, then all the flowers ran amok and I decided I wanted some shrubs for substance. I got a deal on the smokebush so that's what went in...

I have it easy since I have to visit nurseries frequently and am exposed to lots of different plants for ideas.
But thank you for the nice compliments. :)

Big window is screaming windowbox

That would be lots of fun! Unfortunately, my husband, as easygoing as he is, does draw the line sometimes, and things attached to the house are off limits.
