My husband was complaining that my ultra dwarf peach and nectarine trees were blocking the view of the house and also the sun when he sits out there. So I moved them.

I meant to raise the planters on bricks or feet when I planted them but didn't do it. There were roots already going down into the ground and we had to cut those off. The trees look a little droopy because of shock.

Do you think they will make it? Roots were bigger than what I was hoping.

Time will tell. Those are some pretty big roots, but I'm going to guess and say they'll survive.

I had a few evergreen trees in containers and every other year I would pull them from the pot and root prune around the edges and the bottom by 2 or 3 inches, then place back in container and add new soil to what was taken with the roots.

Cat, I do my summer pruning on my fruit trees on the summer solstice. They just grew right back. I did trim about 4 inches so that you could see the ones in the back.

I normally water on Fridays but decided not to water the trees since they have already produced their fruits. I was going to water them every week and a half. I looked at my lime tree and noticed it needed watering so I watered only that one. Didn't really look at the leaves of these 2 trees. I think they just needed water.

The fruit is just ok. Nothing to rave about. They really need hotter weather but I decided to plant them anyway. If they don't survive there's more trees where they came from. :p
